We published Teaching Scenarios for Introducing Computer Science in Preschool Education

Within the RINKO project, we developed 60 teaching scenarios in ten participating kindergartens that introduce preschool children to the development of fundamental computer science knowledge in a playful and accessible way. The scenarios include didactic approaches, a detailed description of activity implementation, reflections from children and educators, photographs from practice, and the literature used.

We organized the scenarios according to the fundamental areas of computer science:

  • Algorithms and Programming

  • Networks and the Internet

  • Data and Analysis

  • Computer Systems

  • Effects of Computer Science

The scenarios are intended for all educators, parents, and others who wish to bring computer science content closer to preschool children and pupils in the lower grades of primary school.

The collection will continue to be expanded during the project, with the aim of covering all areas of computer science as comprehensively as possible.
